Job Description

Job Title: Licensed Insurance Agent (Remote)

Pay Rate: $24.10/hour

Bonus: $1,000 Completion Bonus (based on End-of-Day performance metrics)

Start Date: September 29

Training Period: 4 weeks (Paid)

Location: Remote - U.S. based only

Schedule: 40 hours/week | Structured schedule required

Contract-to-Hire: Yes


About the Role


We are seeking Licensed Insurance Agents to provide compassionate, knowledgeable support to members and providers. In this role, you will help individuals navigate their health insurance options, answer benefit-related questions, and ensure each interaction is clear, empathetic, and solution-oriented.


What You'll Do

  • Deliver a seamless and empathetic customer experience via inbound calls and emails
  • Guide individuals through their health insurance options with clarity and confidence
  • Make occasional outbound outreach for follow-ups and form completion
  • Navigate member and provider inquiries on claims, benefits, and plan details
  • Ask thoughtful questions to determine the best course of action for each caller
  • Collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and third-party entities
  • Accurately document all interactions in the CRM system
  • Maintain compliance with all carrier and CMS guidelines
  • Work within a structured schedule and be flexible with overtime or weekend shifts during peak periods (especially December)
Licensing & Certification
  • Required: Active Health Insurance License in your state of residence (Health or Health & Life)
  • Candidates with pending or expired licenses may be considered (details reviewed during the interview process)
  • License must be obtained within the first 2 weeks of training
  • Licensing support provided: training, exam fees, and fingerprinting (reimbursed as required)
  • AHIP certification not required

Required:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for helping people and solving problems
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to multitask across multiple systems/platforms
  • Reliability and adherence to structured schedules
  • Quick learner and able to work independently
Preferred:
  • Previous customer service or call center experience
  • Health insurance or healthcare background (Medicare not required)
  • Experience in a regulated, structured work environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Work Schedule & Expectations


Training (4 weeks, paid):
  • Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CT
Post-Training Schedule:
  • Standard: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT
  • Peak Season (Dec-Jan): Hours may extend to 7:00 PM CT with possible overtime and weekend shifts
Performance & Compliance


This role is consultative and support-focused (not sales).
  • Inbound-first: 98% inbound calls, limited outbound follow-up
  • KPIs include: handle time, completion rate, compliance/quality scores
  • Compliance: Strict adherence to CMS/carrier guidelines
