Why Choose Us?

At Action Behavior Centers, our core values—learning, caring, fun, team, and excellence—drive us. We support a diverse and inclusive environment where creativity flourishes, and both personal and professional growth is encouraged.

We believe in the potential of every individual we serve, whether that's helping children achieve significant milestones or supporting our team's success. In our 1:1 ABA setting, you'll work directly with children ages 18 months to 8 years using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a nurturing, center-based environment. With top-notch supervision, ongoing training, and a dedicated team alongside you, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day!

Responsibilities of a Behavior Therapist:

  • Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential by executing treatment plans, gathering data, writing insurance notes, and applying feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
  • Facilitate developmental growth in early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance treatment quality, ensure safety, and create a fun workplace experience.
  • Engage children through play, movement, and imaginative interaction, whether that’s running, dancing, singing, reading, or playing with toys—keeping the energy high and fostering a joyful atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for individuals' needs.

Requirements:

  • Physical ability to lift and move with children in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and moving rapidly to effectively engage with young children and maintain safety.
  • Maintain a conducive therapy environment ensuring that play areas are tidy, organized, and stimulating for children's enjoyment.
  • Multitask effectively to balance various tasks, decisions, or conversations while prioritizing safety and needs for everyone involved.
  • Work cohesively with the team across the center, neighborhood, and region, which may involve traveling to nearby centers for support when necessary.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within 20 days of employment is required, which includes passing a 40-hour training curriculum, demonstrating hands-on competency, registering for the exam, and passing it.

What Our Team Says:

We actively engage with the community to make a significant difference in the lives of children and their families.

The culture at Action Behavior Centers is warm and team-oriented, with an approachable atmosphere and a strong sense of community—a fantastic place to grow professionally while truly impacting others' lives.

  • No-Cost Supervision: Supervision hours are free of charge.
  • No Contractual Obligation: Stay because you love it, not because you have to.
  • Comprehensive Benefits & Perks:

    • Health benefits covered at 90%.
    • Free lunch every Friday.
    • Complimentary subscriptions to DoorDash DashPass & Calm apps.
    • Contributions towards student loan repayment.
    • Annual celebrations and team appreciation events.
