This position plays a vital role in providing social work services aimed at preserving families, ensuring child safety, and supporting overall family well-being.


Child Protective Services Specialist Job Details:

• Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm (schedule is flexible within working hours)
• Pay Rate: $19.50/hr paid weekly!

Child Protective Services Specialist Job Description:

• Provide on-going case management and social work services to families in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Assist in assessing family needs, with a strong focus on family preservation and child safety.
• Monitor client progress and ensure ongoing safety through regular contact with caregivers.
• Offer support services related to personal safety, shelter, food, and clothing for families and individuals.
• Support Family Services Supervisors and fellow Child Protective Services Specialists with case management duties.
• Document all client and caregiver interactions for entry into the Child Welfare Automated Information System (CWAIS).

C hild Protective Services Specialist Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
• Previous experience in human services, child welfare or social services required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
