 Summary Objective  : 
\n  The Assistant General Manager, along with the General Manager, leads and manages membership sales generation and ensures all club operations are consistent with US Fitness standards. The Assistant General Manager also recruits, hires, and trains new membership consultants, as well as manages, motivates, and trains existing membership consultants. Assistant General Managers also may lead and manage another department such as housekeeping or front desk and will assist the General Manager in all club operations. 
\n  Essential Functions  : 
\n \n 
 Deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience to every member, every time \n 
 Recruit and retain new club members \n 
 Meet and surpass personal, membership and revenue goals \n 
 Provide oversight, leadership, and management to various departments within the club \n 
 Cultivate relationships and build team morale \n 
 Assist General Manager with all club operations \n 
\n  Job Responsibilities  : 
\n \n 
 Generate sales leads through walk-ins, telephone inquiries, and company sponsored outreach and promotion programs \n 
 Meet and surpass all personal sales goals and coach team members to do the same \n 
 Supervise lead generation process for sales teams \n 
 Motivate sales staff and monitor their production levels by using established protocols and sales systems \n 
 Accept membership inquiries and convert to appointments \n 
 Schedule and conduct prospect tours \n 
 Complete all membership paperwork in an accurate and timely manner \n 
 Complete all daily reports in an accurate and timely manner \n 
 Recruit point of sale referrals from every new member \n 
 Meet, greet, and work the floor during select times of day \n 
 Establish rapport and relationships with members via thank-you notes and guest passes \n 
 Enter new members in onboarding process and schedule new member orientation and other integration programs \n 
 Track leads, appointments, prospect interests, etc., in appropriate systems \n 
 Market club to organizations and corporations \n 
 Attend all required meetings and trainings and find ways to boost personal performance \n 
 Respond to all member questions or concerns within 48 hours \n 
 Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics \n 
 Oversee at least one department within home club including hiring, training, managing, scheduling, coaching and disciplining employees within department \n 
 Keep staff files up to date \n 
 Model and uphold employee standards of conduct and ethics \n 
 Ensure compliance with club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures \n 
 Act as Manager On Duty when required \n 
 Work early morning, evening, and weekend hours as necessary \n

 Demonstrated selling skills, including cross-selling and upselling \n

 Ability to effectively enter and retrieve information from sales tracking systems \n 
 Ability to handle challenging issues with patience, tact, and professionalism \n 
 Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, MS Windows)\n 
\n  Required Experience, Education, and Certifications  : 
\n \n 
 Bachelor’s degree in recreation, fitness, business management, or related field preferred \n 
 Two years’ experience in sales preferred \n 
 CPR/AED certification required \n
