Visiting Professor to teach undergraduate courses in animation and game art, including foundation courses in the discipline; CG Modeling & Lighting; ZBrush, Unreal and Capstone/Production courses. Additional course teaching assignments are dependent on the qualifications of the candidate and departmental needs, with a preference for CG Modeling, Unreal Engine and game art.
The candidate will work with and represent the School of Cinematic Arts in matters of curriculum, standards, accreditation, etc. They will mentor students through the current portfolio-based certification process.
The Department of Animation & Interactive Media at Lipscomb University is housed within the College of Entertainment and the Arts, a division that also comprises the departments of Visual Art, Theatre, Film, Fashion, and Music. The program is a decade old and has had record growth and interest. We foster a comprehensive animation and game art curriculum served by a group of dedicated and passionate artist-teachers. Animation & Interactive Media offers BA and BFA degrees in Animation and Game Art.
Terminal degree preferred (MFA, or MA). Industry experience of 10 years may also qualify depending on skillset and experience.
