As we celebrate our 175th anniversary in the 2025-26 school year, we are looking for a dynamic social media manager to join our hard-working and fun-loving team and help share our story with the world—showcasing a school that combines deep-rooted values with a forward-thinking vision. About the Role San Domenico School seeks a dynamic, creative, and data-savvy Social Media Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team at a truly exciting moment in our history. You will be the voice and visual storyteller for the school’s social media presence—bringing our mission, values, and vibrant community to life across digital platforms during a milestone anniversary year. This role is a rare opportunity to shape how our 175th anniversary is celebrated online, from day-to-day campus life to special events, alumni stories, and community initiatives. The ideal candidate is equal parts content creator, strategist, and analyst—able to conceptualize organic campaigns, capture compelling moments, write with flair, and measure results to continuously improve. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across campus to amplify our K–12 advantage, promote our programs and events, and engage our global community of students, families, and alumni. Key Responsibilities Manage the school’s official accounts across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Plan and execute a year-round social media content calendar aligned with school priorities, including 175th anniversary campaigns. Create original, high-quality content: short-form video, photography, captions, and graphics. Engage daily with our online community—responding to comments/messages and monitoring school mentions. Partner with Admissions, Advancement, and faculty to capture and share timely, authentic content. Provide media support for Panther Athletics, including coordinating game-day photo/video coverage, producing celebratory graphics (e.g., Senior Days, championships), and creating engaging stories and highlights that showcase our student-athletes. Track and analyze performance metrics, producing reports and recommendations to improve reach and engagement. Stay on top of trends, tools, and platform updates to keep San Domenico’s digital presence fresh and relevant. Maintain brand voice, tone, and visual standards across all content. Required Experience & Skills 3–5 years of professional social media experience, ideally in a school environment. Strong video editing and photography skills; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools. Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a knack for tailoring messages to different audiences. Familiarity with social media analytics. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Collaborative mindset, flexibility, and a sense of humor. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience in an independent school or higher education setting. Experience creating athletics-focused media content, such as game recaps, highlight videos, and celebratory graphics. Understanding of K–12 educational environments and the needs of diverse communities. Why You Will Love Working at San Domenico Be part of a caring and mission-driven community dedicated to shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Work on an incredibly beautiful campus with miles of hiking and biking trails. Enjoy free daily lunch all week in our dining hall. Collaborate with joyful and inspiring students, faculty, and staff who are passionate about education. Help shape a bold, values-driven brand that honors tradition while embracing innovation. Receive professional development opportunities to support your growth. See the real-world impact of your work as you help families choose SD, deepen their connection to the school, and support its mission through philanthropy. Compensation The salary range for this position is $70,000- $90,000 annually, commensurate with skill set and experience. This position is classified as exempt and includes an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a matching 403b retirement plan, and daily lunch on work days.
