As a Security Officer - Government Site Post in Soquel, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an unarmed officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular tours throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to incidents, and work collaboratively with your team to address any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols as directed by management and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
