Overview The Director of Security is responsible for all aspects of security and safety at an affordable multifamily residential community in Manhattan, NYC (Chelsea). This includes overseeing the third-party security provider, ensuring proper site control, liaising with local law enforcement and other agencies to prevent and investigate criminal activity, and other duties to maintain a safe and secure living environment for residents and staff. Compensation $100,000 – $125,000 per year Annual Performance Bonus This range is a general guideline and may vary based on qualifications, location, and responsibilities. Essential Job Functions Oversee the security force to ensure services are accurate, sufficient, and that the security provider meets all duties Set security coverage schedules and routines Analyze incident reports and recommend changes based on findings Maintain and maximize use of security technology (cameras, lighting, alarms, fencing, gating) to ensure proper site control Recommend changes/enhancements as needed Interface with police, law enforcement, and city agencies to enhance crime prevention, focus on hot spots, and support surveillance as needed Organize sweeps with tactical units as needed to address issues Build cases for arrests and evictions; seek additional police patrols as needed Provide video or other materials when crimes occur Coordinate with management and residents to build trust, enforce house rules, and foster community involvement Identify and address unacceptable behavior (e.g., petty drug use, safety violations, littering, improper parking, guest policy enforcement) #J-18808-Ljbffr Related Companies
