Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Quality Inspector . This role is responsible for conducting inspections on pre-production vehicles and components, identifying and containing defects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Occasional required travel to Normal, IL

Job Duties:

• Inspect, test, or measure components, products, and materials during and after production
• Execute inspection plans to validate product and process quality
• Identify and contain suspect or defective materials
• Support manufacturing teams in maintaining Build in Quality (BIQ) standards
• Participate in quality-related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects
• Maintain and enhance the quality culture within assigned areas
• Utilize metrology and other inspection tools to identify process issues and defects
• Collaborate with product/process development teams during travel assignments

Skills & Experience:

Required

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, quality, or automotive repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read technical documents, operating procedures, and instructions
• Working knowledge of inspection tools and mechanical processes
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

Desired

• Experience with pre-production vehicles and high-volume manufacturing
• Exposure to statistical process control (SPC) and control charts
• Understanding of customer quality expectations and electric vehicle features
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and problem-solving processes
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
