Position Information

Under direction of the Projects Supervisor in the Facilities Services Maintenance Department, the Project Policy Analyst 3 provides continuous review and assessment of client and service interaction, related to the intake, process, and reporting of projects for Facilities Services with a strong focus on high quality service experience and process improvements. This position is responsible for analysis, review, and timely routing of all materials related to project intake and support. Makes recommendations to leadership and completes short and long-term project intake (details, funding, assignment, etc.), system admin, file management, tracking, and reporting support for leadership and project managers. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining service solutions. Creates, identifies, analyzes, and reviews customer relations related programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.

UC Riverside's Facilities Services is recruiting for a Project Policy Analyst 3. The full salary range for the Project Policy Analyst 3 is $66,500 - $118,300 per year. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Education

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. (Required)
  • Advanced degree in related field (Preferred)

Experience Requirements
  • 4 - 7 years of related experience. (Required)
  • Experience in the design and implementation of internal controls, standard operating procedures and process improvement (Preferred)
  • Experience in an Architects, Engineering, and Facilities department within higher education environment. (Preferred)
  • Experience with project management concepts, tools, and systems such as: Famis 360, Smartsheets, Tableau, and Shared documents. (Preferred)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of UC/UCR systems, policies, procedures and regulations. (Preferred)

Minimum Requirements

Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses. Strong policy analysis techniques. Analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to think creatively, work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups, clients, and constituents, including staff and management. Ability to develop and maintain knowledge on campus customers, needs, and project intake process. Proficient to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access including forms and distribution. Ability to develop moderate to complex analytical, process or policy summaries, proposals, process flows, and process mapping. Advanced focus and skills on implementing high quality service and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
