Plant Manager Rural Idaho $165-$185k plus bonus

Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for all site operations at our Manufacturing plant in rural Idaho. You will be responsible to achieve company targets, and KPIs in an efficient automated manufacturing environment. Manages and oversees overall plant operations which include financial, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, materials, quality assurance/control, and human resources. Oversee all efforts relating to continuous improvement to maximize the efficiency of the equipment, productivity of personnel, and yield optimization. Relocation package available.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day management as well as long term planning and coordination of plant operation.
  • Managing all site operations - Safety, production, logistics, accounting & administration stock, purchasing and IT.
  • Make sure the company's products are produced efficiently and are of high-quality products with minimal scrap.
  • Coaching employees to responsibility and professionalism, nurturing the idea of shared success, mentoring all site management employees.
  • Maintain good working relationships with employees and with all relevant departments.
  • Develop HR policies and effective implementation of the incentive and the ability to reward employees.
  • Develop team leaders by providing coaching, support, direction, documented performance appraisals, and ongoing feedback.
  • Meet quality and production goals, as well as maintenance and safety KPIs for the site
  • Meet logistics goals according to the work plan from headquarters. Updated and reliable reporting.
  • Accounting and Finance – manage the cost to produce and the plant financials, make a perfect connection with the finance team in Dubuque, IA
  • Contact with municipality and all relevant branches & official representatives (including construction authorities)
  • Purchasing – local market and imports according to company policy
  • Stock - managing according to the company policy with high accuracy
  • Maintenance – responsible for the plant structure ,safety and keeping machinery in good condition
  • Responsible for investment projects
  • IT- Meticulous reporting according to procedures
  • KPI’s include: Safety, OTD, Quality, Cost and Continuous Improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (preferred)
  • 5-10 years’ manufacturing production management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Highest level of honesty and integrity.
  • Leadership – strong personal accountability to achieve goals; develops this accountability in others by giving candid and constructive feedback.
  • Initiative – Has the ability to identify key plant issues, develop a workable solution from data. Works with others to arrive at an optimal solution and implementation.
