Clear Cloud Solutions Inc. seeks a highly detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist who values accuracy, to maximize revenue and ensure management of financial data effectively. This role will encompass traditional accounting responsibilities with payroll management to ensure accurate financial records and timely employee compensation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a growing and challenging environment, possess strong analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, process and manage payroll for 70 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, federal, multi-state, local and prevailing wage regulations.
• Oversee timekeeping systems to ensure accurate recording of employee hours worked for job costing.
• Process employee benefit deductions such as health insurance, retirement contributions, etc.
• Update employee information within the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Participate in reporting monthly and annual payroll to Workers Comp, General Liability, and 401k payroll audits.
• Work with accounts payable and receivable, posting transactions in a timely manner.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Generate financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and payroll-related reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with HR to update employee payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Compile and submit Prevailing Wage Certified Payroll reports to DIR and LPCtracker.
• Perform other basic accounting and payroll duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years handling payroll preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting and payroll systems, e.g., QuickBooks Desktop, TSheets, NetSuite, PROCAS, Unanet, Deltek, JAMIS.
• Strong knowledge of DCAA, GAAP and payroll compliancy.
• Highly proficient in Excel formula functions, pivot tables, and charts.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
