Operations Support (Public Benefit Specialist, Entry) Bilingual English & Spanish Preferred

The State of Oregon is seeking an Operations Support (Public Benefit Specialist, Entry) to provide front?line customer service and support to clients. Our organization values equity and diversity, and we encourage applications from historically underrepresented groups.

Base Pay Range: $3,705.00 $4,833.00 per month

Location: Oregon Eligibility Partnership & Self?Sufficiency (two positions)

Position Type: Employee (Full?time, Entry level)

Agency: Department of Human Services

Status: Permanent, full?time, represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)

Job Description

As a Customer Service Guide, you will provide front?desk assistance, answer phone calls, guide clients to the right services, distribute mail, manage emails, schedule appointments, issue benefits cards, review all applications, document interactions, and maintain a welcoming environment for the public. You will use multiple computer systems and databases and work within an office setting MondayFriday, 8?am5?pm PT.

Essential Qualifications


  • Two years of experience in a reception area or call center involving a high volume of work, or an associate degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or related field plus six months of similar experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
