Job Description

Base pay range $68,390.00/yr - $135,324.00/yr Biotechnology client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support development of consumable fluidic devices. You will be responsible for consumable device components and aiding surface chemistry teams in a variety of activities. You have a professional background in mechanical and/or process engineering. This is a 12-month contract position based in Santa Clara, California. Responsibilities Flowcell manufacturing, process development and assembly. Dimensional and mechanical measurements, including data analysis and reporting. Surface metrology and characterization. Component testing, quality checks, and visual inspection. Sample preparation for external analysis. Component and subcomponent inventory management; shipping preparation and receiving. This role will have a focus on supporting multiple engineering activities in a timely manner, to support the needs of the project as necessary. Qualifications Associates or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution 0-2 years of professional experience required, but hands-on lab experience is preferred. Microfabrication, microfluidics and materials knowledge or experience is also a plus. Excellence in familiarity with SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or equivalent required. Familiarity with metrology or microscopy equipment is also a big plus. Why Choose R&D Partners?
