Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced General Education Teacher passionate about supporting K-8 students in a dynamic afterschool program. Located in Cicero, IL, this contract position offers the chance to deliver targeted reading and math intervention and tutoring services in a vibrant educational setting serving grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide differentiated instruction and support in reading and math to K-8 students.
• Collaborate with school staff to implement effective intervention strategies.
• Monitor students' progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment during afterschool hours.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in General Education or related fields.
• Proven experience delivering reading and math interventions in K-8 settings.
• Strong understanding of general education curriculum and assessment methods.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in an afterschool program format.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Location:

• Cicero, Illinois

Schedule and Duration:

• Part-time commitment, approximately 7.5 hours per week.
• Contract position for the current school year.
