Job Description

Aptive is seeking an Education/Training Lead with demonstrated experience with commercial consulting experience leading large-scale programs through strategic input, curricula design and development, and operational planning. Leverage a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience to lead a federal healthcare transformation program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

In this role, you will lead client relationship building and deliver the key aspects of federal program management. You will creatively approach situations within the larger context of healthcare and other industries, think critically about our approach and our work, and suggest new ways to approach our solutions and demonstrate effectiveness. Your ability to gain insight into operational challenges by utilizing data, create frameworks for data analyses, understand the content and context of models and provide input into the translation of results into recommendations, positions, or direction, is highly sought after for this position.
  • Provide project leadership in all aspects of planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of multiple projects and anticipate needs as driven by project work plans.
  • Independently manage resources and be able to deliver all components of basic and stand-alone projects. 
  • Plan client meetings by anticipating needs as driven by the work plan, coordinate meetings with key users, develop data requests and document key questions to be answered throughout the engagement.
  • Tasks may include developing an education and training plan adapted to customer need, including plans associated with transition management, implementation of major initiatives, education and training associated with major initiatives, risk assessment, organizational transformation, and culture change.
  • Produce education and training materials for internal and external audiences, project documentation, leadership briefs, analysis, graphics, stakeholder presentations, benchmark info and interim and final deliverables. 
  • Assess, develop, design, and improve education curriculum.
  • Effectively facilitates educational programs, including workshops and conferences.
  • Incorporates change management principles into training.
  • Create meaningful relationships with clients. 
  • Create work plans including project staffing, project approach, and resource requests to be reviewed with clients and executives. 
  • Provides recommendations related to educational materials and training to other workstreams to maximize learning and engagement.
  • Develops methods to evaluate education materials and training to apply lessons learned for refinement of subsequent trainings.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in education and training
  • Experience in change management
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC or travel to conferences when needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in Word, PowerPoint and quantitative strengths in the creation of detailed analytical models using Excel and various tools. 

 

  • Prior experience supporting VHA is  HIGHLY DESIRED 
  • Clinical background highly desired
  • Prosci® Change Management Certification
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with VHA Central Office
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial and operational modeling, capital planning models, healthcare staffing and workforce models.
  • Knowledge of military and Veteran health care populations.
