Position Description:
The Instructional Designer will create graphically rich corporate education materials in traditional and web-based formats to support the professional development of employees and other organizational training needs.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develops varying types of training using sound instructional design principles.
  • Develops SCORM compliant HTML/HTML5 based e-learning using industry leading authoring tools like Articulate 360, Lectora, Camtasia Studio, or Adobe Captivate.
  • Works with and creates custom graphics in tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Designs and develops multimedia learning programs using contemporary tools for print, live online, and web-based programs guided by core competencies and higher-level management training strategies.
  • Creates standard operating procedures as needed to document and support learning policies and programs based on identified training needs, organizational processes, and business systems.
  • Consults with SMEs on learning objectives and content through curriculum development sessions, documents findings, and develop relevant eLearning courses.
  • Create eLearning storyboards and live training materials (workshops, workbooks, facilitator and learner guides) using solid instructional design methodology and adult learning theory.
  • Provides for the development of instructional materials (e-learning, facilitators guide, job aids, reference guides, audio and video scripts, story boards, navigational text, test, etc.) that transform complex information into professionally written, interactive multimedia instruction.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Instructional Design; knowledge of HR related content and training creation highly preferred
  • Requires significant knowledge of instructional design methods and tools
  • Strong knowledge of andragogy and instructional design, plus exceptional skill in developing and maintaining thorough, ongoing quality assurance processes.
  • Working knowledge of competency-based corporate education programs to deliver employee education, training assessment tools, design of curriculum for adult learners
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Experience with the use of various audio/visual multimedia and learning tools; Articulate and Adobe suite of multimedia development tools for learning programs and Microsoft Office Suite
