Overview AMENTUM is seeking an industrial safety specialist to support our team of multi-skilled technicians in a process maintenance and manufacturing environment in Waukesha, WI. This position will be an integral part of day-to-day operations to provide EH&S leadership and support all employees on site. The role should offer immediate solutions when safety-related concerns are identified to safeguard our employees. Essential Functions Evaluate, plan and administer training programs, as well as other employee safety procedures and Job Hazard Analysis. Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections and recommend corrective actions for compliance with OSHA regulations. Investigate injuries, conditions and incidents, document findings for trend awareness and accountability. Maintain records of pertinent data and contribute to required reports on occupational injury and illness experience. Plan and coordinate safety and health classes for technical and supervisory employees. Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace; provide tools and recommendations to address findings. Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards. Conduct employee training and emergency preparedness, and assure the quality of programs. Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice. Collaborate with client/site EHS personnel to address potential hazards or unsafe conditions found. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience in a safety professional role. 5 years of experience in an occupational safety role in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience using software to enter and interpret safety-related data. Experience delivering training to multiple levels of personnel. Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Must be willing to travel up to 10%. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work various shifts, as needed. Preferred Qualifications Current Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. Experience supporting multiple sites simultaneously.
