Job Title: General Manager Airport Operations

Location: Full-Time | On-Site | Washington, DC

Salary: $80,000 $85,000 annually, based on experience

Airport Hours: 24/7 - On-call flexibility is typically required

Job Summary: The successful candidate will oversee daily airport operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and excellent service delivery, while managing financial performance and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all airport operations, ensuring service excellence and compliance
2. Implement and oversee the Safety Management System (SMS) and safety plans
3. Monitor performance against SLAs
4. Identify and resolve operational and safety issues proactively
5. Oversee staff training in airline, airport, and safety procedures
6. Serve as the primary liaison with airport authorities, airline partners, and federal agencies (FAA, TSA)
7. Supervise personnel, evaluate performance, and address conduct issues
8. Ensure accurate completion of FAA and internal reports
9. Drive safety compliance through audits and investigations
10. Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working environments
11. Represent the company positively to clients, officials, and the public
12. Maintain effective communication and operational records
13. Utilize resources efficiently and uphold company standards
14. Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or 5+ years of airport or airline management experience
• Proven leadership in supervisory or managerial roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Reliable transportation and a working phone
• Travel may be required
