As our Email Marketing Manager, you'll be able to unleash your creative genius and impact the lives of millions of entrepreneurs worldwide. You'll be at the forefront of AppSumo’s biggest marketing channel, helping us shape the way we engage with our community throughout the entire customer journey.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running point on our day-to-day email marketing operations

  • Building, managing, and optimizing dedicated campaigns and automated journeys

  • Overseeing email-related projects, which consists of assigning tasks, making sure deadlines are met, and performing quality assurance checks on all deliverables

  • Writing and proofreading copy within email templates

  • Working with designers to ensure responsiveness and accessibility of email layouts

  • Updating, tracking, and analyzing key metrics to identify areas for improvement

  • Brainstorming, researching, and implementing email marketing strategies

  • Performing A/B tests and reporting on results

  • Crafting segments to target specific users and increase engagement

  • Collaborating cross-departmentally to create unified marketing strategies

  • Setting up and scheduling of promotional campaigns as necessary

  • Amending documentation to reflect current and new processes

In the first three months of this role, success means taking complete ownership of our day-to-day operations and meeting agreed-upon goals.

Past experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience with email or lifecycle marketing

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Efficiency in a dynamic, high-volume environment

  • Ability to successfully manage and collaborate on multiple, simultaneous projects

  • Dedication to meeting deadlines and submitting high-quality work

  • A keen eye for detail in regards to design layouts, copy, and accessibility

  • Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics

  • Familiarity with Klaviyo

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
