Position: Child Therapist (Play Therapist)
Location: Washington, DC
Employment Type: Part-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Therapist specializing in play therapy to join our team in a community-based setting in Washington, DC. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by helping children address emotional and behavioral challenges through therapeutic play.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide play therapy to children to address emotional, developmental, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments and collaborate with families to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based play therapy techniques to help children process emotions and build coping skills.
• Communicate effectively with caregivers, providing guidance and support to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for children and their families.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Active licensure in Washington, DC (LPC, LGPC, LGSW, or LICSW.
• Specialized training and experience in play therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with children and their families in a community setting.

Schedule:

• Part-time only, with flexible hours during office hours: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM.
