What would you do as a Chief Risk Officer

As the Chief Risk Officer at One Community Bank, you'll lead a comprehensive enterprise-wide risk strategy, seamlessly integrating risk management into our broader business planning to safeguard and advance our mission. Overseeing crucial areas such as Community Reinvestment, Fraud, BSA/AML, Risk Management, Compliance, and IT Security, you will collaborate with all departments to identify and manage operational, credit, liquidity, and market risks effectively. Your leadership will cultivate a proactive risk culture, ensuring regulatory compliance while providing strategic insights to executive management and the board. With the responsibility of guiding the bank's Audit Program and fostering partnerships across lending, finance, and technology, you will shape our risk posture and drive innovation.

This pivotal role requires not only sharp judgment and sophisticated understanding of risk dynamics but also the ability to champion ethical conduct, ensuring that One Community Bank remains a pillar of trust and integrity within the financial landscape.

Are you the Chief Risk Officer we're looking for?

To excel as the Chief Risk Officer at One Community Bank, a robust combination of education and experience is essential. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is crucial, along with at least 10 years in risk management or compliance within the financial industry. Extensive knowledge of regulatory laws and a preferred 5 years in a compliance environment will equip you to navigate complex regulatory landscapes effectively. Strong supervisory experience and a proven track record in influencing board-level risk management systems are vital for fostering a culture of accountability. Additionally, expertise in audit practices related to risk assessment and resolution will enhance operational efficiency.

Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across all business units are necessary to ensure collaborative decision-making. Strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will set you up for success in this strategic role.
