Associate Attorney – Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (4th–6th Year)

A top-tier law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice. This role is ideal for attorneys with 4–6 years of experience advising startups, venture-backed companies, and investors, and who also have exposure to M&A transactions.

What You’ll Do

• Represent early-stage and growth companies in venture financings, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.
• Advise investors and companies on seed through late-stage financings and exit strategies.
• Draft and negotiate NVCA-based financing documents.
• Support M&A transactions involving emerging companies and venture investors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide strategic legal counsel to founders, boards, and investors.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of experience in ECVC work at a leading law firm.
• Hands-on experience with at least ten venture financings using NVCA documents.
• Some experience with domestic M&A transactions involving startups or growth companies.
• Strong communication, drafting, and client service skills.
• Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice or eligibility to waive in.
