As a member of Wizards of the Coast, we help enrich a catalog of games that has inspired gamers and developers for decades.  At Invoke, you get to play your part as a valued member of an open and dedicated team within a magical world!  Invoke Studios is currently looking to hire a Core Team of talented and varied people for a new AAA multiplayer game in the universe of D&D using the Unreal Engine.   If you are interested in joining a new team and actively contributing to the conception of a new game project, please read below.  Job Description  Invoke is looking for an Technical Animation Director to collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers and be the glue between vision and implementation. What You’ll Do Collaborate with game leadership to develop the overall vision & determine technical feasibility Build up and maintain detailed documentation for all owned features, leaving no pathways unexplored Evaluate the game's vision, design and technical needs and identify risks and mitigation plans Work closely with programmers to assess existing animation and rigging tools and occasionally design custom ones to improve pipelines Support animators, game designers, and riggers with their technical needs and informatively and constructively explain the root causes of risks, blockers, etc. Train team members on tools and techniques, raise awareness of new processes Resolve complex escalated issues and make technical validations Anticipate technological advancements and stay up to date on market trends to define best practices Responsible for performance metrics with regards to animation Evaluate, design and develop the pipelines for the animation team and with other departments Support technical development across all animation driven systems (gameplay, cinematics, ingame events etc) What You'll Bring 10+ years experience developing AAA titles 5+ years of experience as an Animation Technical Director on AAA titles Good knowledge of MotionBuilder Maya and Unreal engine ideally Strong analytical skills and a love for efficient problem solving Positive and collaborative communication to improve our shared vision Flexible, adaptable approach with a constant appetite for new knowledge and experiences Autonomy, motivation and ability to manage a feature from start to finish Ability to program or edit scripts is a plus Excellent communication skills in French and English We are an Equal Opportunity Employer  Invoke commits to offer equal working chances to every individual, without regard based on the following: age, sex, sexual orientation, physical disability, origin, religion, citizenship, native country or any other possible particularities.
