Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent the College in recruitment activities in a knowledgeable, friendly
and effective manner
Assist in all aspects of the campus visit program, including but not limited to daily campus tours, select on
campus events and other special tours to provide the highest quality experience to prospective students and their families
Attend all
on campus events, including evening and weekends
Assist in staffing the Welcome Center during regular business hours
Effectively
manage an assigned recruitment territory/cohort(s) and develop comprehensive plans for travel and outreach aligned with the institution's
strategic priorities
Conduct informative sessions (in person or virtual) to a variety of audiences
Build strong relationships with
prospective students and families, school counselors, community colleges, and community-based organizations
Counsel and communicate
with prospective students about academic programs offered, admissions requirement, educational funding, Regiment of Cadets and student
life
Read, evaluate and render admission decisions consistent with the college's mission, vision, and strategic priorities
Respond
to all inquiries and provide accurate information in a timely manner
Provide office support by assisting in the execution of the
communication plan, visiting with prospective students during campus visits and providing call support
Maintain and manage confidential
information and records in dealing with sensitive personal, academic and financial information
Work closely with all campus
constituents to enroll new students
Perform other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the
position
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree.
1 - 2 years college
admissions/recruitment or related higher education experience
Self-directed, works well independently and in a group capacity
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Valid Driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred
Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of professional college admissions experience working with undergraduate students
Intermediate
knowledge and use of Banner Student Information System
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Slate CRM
Strong commitment to
serving students
Working with diverse student groups
Additional Information:
Classification/Salary Range: The
Admissions Counselor is a UUP position. The anticipated salary range for the position is $51,261 to $52,000 annually, with an outstanding

Special Notes: This is a full-time calendar year (12 month) appointment UUP
Position. Fair Labor Standard Acts (FLSA) Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external
